Meet The Doctors
Dr. Steven Schwitzman
Dr. Schwitzman has 40+ years experience in optometric care. He specializes in complex contact lens fittings. Dr. Schwitzman also has special training in geriatric optometry. He is the Eye Care Director at Hampton Court Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Miami since 1991.
Dr. Schwitzman was born in New York City. He graduated with a degree in biology from Boston University in 1977. He then attended the University of Chicago, where he received a Master's Degree in Physical Science in 1978. In 1982, he received a Bachelor of Science in Visual Science and Doctorate of Optometry from Illinois College of Optometry. After graduation, Dr. Schwitzman moved to Boca Raton and has been in practice since 1983. Dr. Schwitzman has two daughters. In his spare time, he enjoys cycling, swimming, and tennis.
Dr. Joyce Salomon
Dr. Salomon is a native of Detroit, Michigan . She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan; in 1982 she graduated from Illinois College of Optometry. Here she earned both her Bachelor of Science in Visual Science and her Doctor of Optometry degrees. Following graduation Dr. Salomon moved to south Florida where she owned and operated two successful national franchises for twenty five years. She specializes in soft and hard contact lens fittings, general and pediatric optometry.
Dr. Ira Cohen
Dr. Cohen graduated from the University of Miami with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology in 1972 and with a Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1976. While in optometry school, Dr. Cohen apprenticed at the office of Drs. Lichtman, Platt, and Feig. In 1973. Dr. Cohen helped start research on retrolental fibroplasia under Dr. John T. Flynn at Bascom-Palmer Eye Institute in Miami. He was clinical optometrist at Bascom-Palmer Eye Institute and apprenticed at Wills Eye Hospital under neuro-ophthalmologist Dr. Norman Schatz in 1975. Dr. Cohen also did an externship at the Miami Veterans' Administration Hospital. Dr. Cohen has been in practice with Drs. Salomon and Schwitzman since 2013.
Dr. Angelina Daysudova
Dr. Daysudova was born in Belarus and is a fluent Russian speaker. She grew up in Brooklyn, New York. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from New York University. She then graduated from the State University of New York College of Optometry, where she earned her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2012. She strives to provide a high standard of patient care. She moved to Florida, with her husband, to enjoy the beach and sun. In her spare time, she enjoys art, cooking, travel and palates.
Dr. Angelina Borukhova
Dr. Angelina Borukhova was born and raised in Queens, NY. She graduated from Nova Southeastern University with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology in 2016. She then obtained her doctorate degree in optometry at Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry in 2022. She completed her externship with an emphasis on ocular disease and dry eyes. She is trained in dry eye management, contact lenses fitting, and performing comprehensive eye exams. She also speaks fluent Russian. Dr. Borukhova has two children. She likes to travel, cook, and solve word search puzzles in her spare time.
